Company

A Canadian company for a northern country.

ORCAN Technologies builds software that helps Canada see, understand and protect its North. We started in Moncton, New Brunswick, in 2026 with one belief: a country this large deserves one clear picture of itself.

Why we exist.

Canada’s most remote regions are where information is hardest to get and where decisions matter most: a medevac flight racing weather, a community in the path of a fire, a ship moving through the Arctic with no one watching.

Too often, the tools used to watch those regions are built elsewhere, hosted elsewhere and designed for someone else’s geography.

We are building the Canadian alternative: sovereign, bilingual, and made for the North from the first line of code.

Our name

Orca + Canada.

The orca travels all three of Canada’s oceans: the Pacific, the Atlantic and the Arctic. It is patient, intelligent and aware of everything around it. The maple leaf carried in its form is a reminder of who we build for.

Our products carry Canadian names too.

  1. LLaurentide · after the ice sheet that once covered most of Canada
  2. AArrow 105 · a nod to the Avro CF-105 Arrow, a landmark of Canadian aerospace
  3. NPassage N74 · for the Northwest Passage, near 74° north

What we stand for

How we build.

Sovereign by design

Canadian-owned, and built to keep customer data in Canada under Canadian control.

Made for the North

Extreme cold, thin connectivity and long distances are the design brief, not edge cases.

Bilingual from line one

English and French are built in from the start, never translated as an afterthought.

Works with what you have

Laurentide connects to the feeds and systems your team already relies on.

Honest about what’s built

We label what is in development and show working software, not slides.

Built for decades

Canada’s North needs partners who will still be here in twenty years.

Roadmap

Where we’re going.

We are starting where the need is sharpest and the feedback is fastest: remote air operations and emergency response. Each step earns the next.

Now

Build the foundation

  • Laurentide core platform
  • Arrow 105 air operations module
  • Wildfire, weather and alert engine
  • Security, audit and Canadian hosting
Next

Prove it in the field

  • First pilots with remote operators
  • Licensed aircraft and vessel feeds
  • Passage N74 on live maritime data
  • Offline mode, SMS and email alerts
Later

Serve the country

  • Predictive warnings
  • Public safety and national security deployments
  • SOC 2, CPCSC and Protected B readiness
  • Drone, satellite and allied integrations

Join us

Build it with us.

We will be growing the team: software, geospatial and data engineers who want to work on problems that matter to Canada, and people who know the North and want better tools for it.

Now selecting first pilot partners.

If you run operations in Canada’s remote regions, we want to build Laurentide with you. Briefings are available in English and French.
